Robert Messer has been employed by the American National Bank of Texas for more than 40 years. He currently serves as the Bank’s Senior Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. 

He oversees the management of the balance sheet and income statement. He is responsible for many corporate activities including strategic planning, mergers and acquisitions. 

Robert is a graduate of Texas A&M and has an MBA from East Texas State University and has attended the Southwestern Graduate School of Banking where he was the President of his class.

Robert maintains an active CPA license in Texas and currently resides in Terrell with his wife of 45 years. He has two married children and five grandchildren. His hobbies include golf, hunting, fishing, and watching college football.
